Gooey Vegan Brownies



Ingredients

·         2 Tbl. ground chia seed meal (flax works too, but has fewer health benefits)
·         6 Tbl. water
·         ½ cup vegan butter (We use Nutiva.)
·         1 cup pure cane sugar
·         2 teaspoon vanilla extract
·         cup unsweetened cocoa powder
·         ½ cup one to one gluten free flour
·         ¼ teaspoon salt
·         ¼ teaspoon baking powder

Directions

1.    Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease and flour an 8" x 8" baking dish.

2.    Prepare your chia "eggs" by combing the ground chia meal and water in a small dish and whisk gently. Let sit for a few minutes.

3.    Melt butter in a sauce pan over medium-low heat

4.    Take the butter off of the heat and add in your chia "eggs", sugar, vanilla, cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder and whisk until smooth. Pour your combined mix into your baking dish.

5.    Bake for 25-35 minutes or until the edges are crispy.

If you do not care so much about vegan as much as d-free and g-free, you can put two eggs in, in place of the chia eggs.
